Adams wading net
The inspiration for this net came while visiting the historical marker commemorating the spot in nearby Mayfield, Michigan where the world-famous Adams dry fly was invented, hence its name.
Just as its namesake fly was an amalgamation of other patterns that had come before it, so the Adams net combines elements of teardrop and rectangular-shaped nets to produce the same result: a small item that has a big heart and a lot of versatility.
Featuring an 8 x 14-inch hoop mated to an 8-inch handle for a total length of 22 inches, the Adams is lightweight and easily manageable for the wading angler, and is sized to confidently capture and contain fish up to 18-20 inches long.
Just like all of our nets, the Adams’ hardwood frame is sealed with a marine-grade sealer, then coated with multiple coats of marine spar varnish, for a finish that will remain extremely water- and UV-resistant for many years of use.
The Adams frame can be fitted with fish-friendly clear rubber netting that is inscribed with a fish ruler (pictured), or with soft black nylon mesh for a more traditional look.
